Election Results for the 37th World Zionist Congress |
June 4, 2015
Thank you so much for voting in the elections for the World Zionist Congress! The results are in: Aytzim’s Green Israel slate received 443 votes, enough for a delegate and two alternates at the Congress in Jerusalem this coming October. It will mark our fourth consecutive Congress at which we will be representing Jewish environmentalists.
It may not sound like much, but everything that we have accomplished in Israel so far has been with between one and three seats at the Congress. In the 2001 elections we also gained one delegate and two alternates, but we used that to set up an ecovillage in Rwanda and to quadruple funding for afforestation in Israel, leading today to more than two million trees planted to date.
Whether or not you voted, you can still help. We need to send a delegation of three to Israel, and we need your support. Please donate today to ensure that our green delegation reaches Jerusalem! |
