Educate and empower to green our lives, communities, Israel and the Earth.

Our members, volunteers and leaders come from across the political and religious spectra. We care deeply about Judaism and the Earth, and believe in both education and action.
What We Do
Founded in 2001 and incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2006, today Aytzim hosts five projects:
EcoJews runs Jewish-environmental social activities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Green Zionist Alliance works to protect and educate about the environment of Israel and the Middle East.
With more than 1000 blog posts, pedagogical materials, a job board, and an interactive map of Jewish-environmental initiatives, Jewcology.org, is the largest online resource for information on Jewish environmentalism.
Jews of the Earth leads regional advocacy and environmental-action activities in the greater Washington D.C. area.
More than 100 Jewish clergy, including chief rabbis, have joined this environmental-project that Aytzim runs in partnership with GreenFaith.
